Travel Insurance
Due to the nature of our excursions and the remoteness of our location, we require our guests to purchase travel insurance prior to travelling. As a useful tip, most major credit card companies offer insurance free of charge, when the travel expenses have been paid through them.Climate
Throughout the year the usual daytime temperature is between 68°F ² 86°F (20ºC ² 30ºC).
At night, however, temperatures can drop to freezing and below (32°F / 0ºC). Additionally, on some excursions to higher altitude zones, you may experience extreme cold temperatures.

Altitude
San Pedro is situated 8,036 feet (2,450 meters) above sea level, and many of the excursions on offer take place at even higher altitudes. To help prevent Altitude Sickness (Acute Mountain Sickness) we recommend:
- No strenuous physical activities one the first 1-2 days of your stay
- Drink plenty of water (at least three liters per day)
- Avoid drinking alcohol and/or coffee
